🏆 Scale-up of the Year 2020
⭐ Acquired in 2022
I started my journey at Proxyclick as Head of Design in a fast-growing scale-up. My mission was to elevate the design quality from average to good. While there wasn't a formalized design system initiative, the development of such a system occurred organically, aligning with our collaborative evolution across expanding design and tech teams

As we were designing new features, we simultaneously began crafting our design system. The advantages of this approach were evident in no time — swift and enhanced design implementation, friendly design and development collaboration, and a more visually appealing product. Consequently, this led to increased resource allocation.

Even if I enjoyed my job in shaping the design team and its practice at Proxyclick, I have always been captivated by the technical intricacies of design interfaces. A design system encapsulates everything I cherish: blending design with coding, spearheading a project, and putting a smile on my colleagues who enjoy using it. This passion steered my transition to a UX Engineer role, allowing me to wholly immerse myself in the design system.

Part of my initial Head of Design job was to make sure all the product designs were consistent and smooth. I started to craft a collection of components and styles in Figma with the product designers. Because I know a lot about atomic design and how to use CSS, I was able to avoid complexity and make design elements that were simple to use, expandable, and long-lasting.

I started to code and deliver our design material as HTML templates, based on a CSS framework I developed. I closely collaborated with the front-end developers to refine the design-to-development handover process. Eventually, I trained myself on Angular and Web components to contribute to the definition and styling of components.
